Brad Sayers is the founder of The Woodshed. He has more than twenty years’ experience working in the film and commercial industries.

As an executive producer, Brad has established, owned and run successful production companies, managing large and small teams of artists and technicians, and delivering projects for the auto, FMCG, banking, tourism and pharma sectors and everything in between.

As a director, he has a reputation for capturing the wonder, beauty and playful unpredictability of life’s natural, everyday moments. He is known for his visually striking and performance-driven pieces.

Brad has produced and directed hundreds of TV commercials and branded films for clients including Range Rover, Commbank, American Express, Schwarzkopf, and Zurich, and has worked with agencies such as M&C Saatchi, Havas, Clemenger, Saatchi & Saatchi & Richards Rose. 

Brad has directed performers such as Yvonne Strahovski, Chris Haywood and Jennifer Hawkins; and sports stars including Steve Smith, Ian Healey and Susie O'Neill.

Brad's work has screened at film festivals around the world, including Palm Springs, St Kilda and Hollyshorts, for which his DPs have won Gold and Silver awards with the Australian Cinematography Society.

When he isn’t on set or in an edit suite, Brad is playing angular blues drenched lines on saxophone and chasing the perfect coffee grind.
